Australia Wide Recyclers (AWR) is a not for profit recycling charity, based in Adelaide, South Australia. Our purpose is to help the environment while assisting disadvantaged communities in both Australia and overseas. We have a network of donation bins across metropolitan Adelaide where we gather unwanted household goods for reuse by disadvantaged persons. We have a paid workforce spanning 15 nationalities who process these goods. Most staff are from migrant backgrounds. Once processed, the goods are distributed in South Australia and targeted supported communities in the Pacific, Middle East and Africa. This supports our environment by diverting items otherwise destined for landfill, while assisting those in desperate need.
